Jitka Klugarová, PhD, MSc, adj. Assoc Prof.
Dr. Klugarová is deputy director and co-founder of the Czech National Centre for Evidence-Based Healthcare and Knowledge Translation and its parts (Cochrane, JBI, and GRADE Centers) at the Institute of Biostatistics and Analyses, Faculty of Medicine, Masaryk University. Dr. Klugarová is an Adjunct Associate Professor of Public Health at the University of Adelaide. Dr. Klugarová has a background in physiotherapy, biomechanics, and podiatry. Since 2010, she is interested in the Evidence-Based Healthcare approach, implementation science, a methodology of systematic reviews, and clinical practice guidelines.
Dr. Klugarová also has more than 15 years of clinical experience in physiotherapy and podiatry, so one of her main interests is implementation research evidence into practice. In 2014, she became worldwide one of the few trainers in implementation science certified by Joanna Briggs Institute. She has been leading more than 12 international implementation projects.
As an active member of several international methodological groups within leading organizations in EBHC, she is focused on application and innovation of research and implementation methods in healthcare:
1) GRADE working group (Algorithms and pathways, Rapid guidelines, Implementation of guidelines);
2) Joanna Briggs Institute (The synthesis of the text and opinion systematic review).
Dr. Klugarová is also the Senior Methodologist within the Czech National Guidelines project of Czech Health Research Council and Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic and senior researcher of Department of Healthcare Quality within the Institute of Health Information and Statistics of the Czech Republic. Jitka and her team will co-organize in the Czech Republic, the Global Evidence Summit 2021.
